wabi sabi vase by Kazuhiko Sato
A superb vase in luminous tones, an extremely decorative piece whose presence captures all eyes and enhances the space in which it is located. This unique piece, which transmits a deep emotion, is the work of Kazuhiko Sato.
For this vase he used a combination of Shigaraki and Seto clays with quartz inclusions, which he shaped by hand with an extremely complicated personal technique, which gives the surface its rough and sandy side and this form both organic and very balanced. A work of contemporary art accentuated by the abstract silver traces while being timeless and deeply Japanese.
This vase is signed at its base “SATOH” (Kazuhiko Sato’s usual signature) and 1994 (year of its creation), in Roman letters, as well as the artist's coat of arms. It comes with its original wooden protective box signed by Sato san (Kanji and seal), closing with a sanadahimo cord, as well as its signed turmeric fabric. Note the presence on the protective box of a large photo of the work (on the lid) as well as identification labels.
