Japanese Nabeshima Porcelain Vase

Sale price€160,00

Elegant vintage vase in white nabeshima porcelain on which Mauves (malva flowers, aoi in Japanese) have been hand painted in bright shades of red, blue and green, characteristic of this type of porcelain.

Iro-Nabeshima is an exceptional Japanese porcelain, born in the Edo period in the Nabeshima domain, located in the Saga region, on the island of Kyūshū. Characterized by a pure white background, natural patterns painted with vibrant pigments (blue, red, green) and sharp contours thanks to the fuchi-sabi (brown lines) technique, it is fired in several stages to seal its brilliance. Intended for the elite, this rare porcelain is today perpetuated by the Imaizumi Imaemon lineage and prized for its timeless elegance.

This vintage vase, in perfect condition, dates from the Shōwa era (1926-1989).
