White Porcelain and Blue Peonies Bowl by Park Sun-Young
A bowl of immaculate white porcelain on which delicate peonies are hand-drawn and painted with gold accents. This unique piece is the work of Park Sun-young, an artist based in Icheon, south of Seoul, an historical Korean ceramics location. As a potter, she once placed a peony on a piece and since then these flowers have become her life. She works in the Korean craft tradition of white and blue porcelain, creating contrasts of immense poetry.
