Japanese Cast Iron Incense Holder
A superb and heavy Japanese cast iron incense holder in the shape of a long leaf, handcrafted by Iwachu, a famous foundry in Moriaka (Iwate Prefecture). It allows you to burn incense sticks (up to 14cm long), the ash falling safely onto the cast iron, or to place an incense cone to burn directly on the cast iron. A cardboard box signed Iwachu protects this incense holder.
The Iwachu Foundry, founded in 1902 in Morioka (Iwate Prefecture), is renowned for its cast iron teapots, called Nanbu Tekki. Made using traditional methods, Iwachu pieces are cast in sand molds, then finely polished and glazed to ensure durability and rust resistance. This expertise, combining tradition and innovation, has earned Iwachu worldwide recognition for the excellence and elegance of its creations.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE : Burning incense should always be placed on a holder and supervised. Do not leave children alone near it. To light a stick, hold a flame close to the end and wait for the incense to ignite, then blow gently to extinguish the flame. Make sure to position the stick upright on the incense holder so that the ashes fall into the plate. Extinguish the incense if you need to leave. Keep out of reach of children. The incense holder will retain heat after use; wait until it has cooled before handling.
